My homemade outboard motor - Test 1

I know most of my videos are musical but I sometimes need to branch out to other areas. I made this outboard motor over a couple of weeks. The motor and dry gearbox is from an old cordless drill and the submurged gearbox was a right angle drill drive. It took quite alot design time but seems to work well. The motor was supplied with 9.4 volts when in the drill but now runs from a 12 volt car battery which makes it quite powerful and I might have to change the propeller's size and blade pitch to get the optimum thrust. I will have to keep also have to keep an eye on the motor's temperature during the first long run, hopefully on the river and I'll post another video of this.
